In-browser R Shiny app
IRT/RTSM UAT tracker
Synthetic dataR runs in your browser: Shinylive and webR
A user acceptance testing tracker for a synthetic interactive response technology (IRT/RTSM) build: 29 test scripts traced to 30 requirements, a defect log, and a go-live sign-off gate that recomputes as you record test results, close defects and add a test for the one untraced requirement. The gate turns READY only when every critical test passes, no critical or major defect is open and every fix has passed its retest, and every requirement has a test that has been run. It packages the evidence for a named tester or biostatistician to sign; it does not grant approval. Operations data only, with no participant data.
Try this
- RAND-04 opens selected: a critical test that failed, with critical defect DEF-01 open. In the Selected test card, record its retest as Pass, then close DEF-01 (a defect closes only after its test passes): the counts, the plot and the gate update.
- Work down the go-live gate: each ID opens that test. Retest SUP-03 (mark it Pass) before closing DEF-03, run the five tests not run yet, then add a draft test for URS-SUP-005 and run it too. With every blocker cleared, the gate turns READY.
- Search the test-script table, or double-click a Status cell in the defect log, type Open or Closed and press Enter.
- Download the results as a CSV built in your browser, or Reset to seed to start over.
Before you start
- Synthetic data. Every study, participant, site and number in the example is invented for this toolkit.
- R runs in your browser. Shinylive and webR run the same R code as local R; nothing you enter leaves your computer.
- First visit: about 65 MB to download, usually 10 to 20 seconds on a fast connection and longer on a slow one. Later visits take 8 to 12 seconds, because R starts fresh each time.
- Getting started: No installation is needed for this browser app. The source is also available in the toolkit.

Starting the app
- This page and its instructions
- Service worker, which lets R serve the app inside this page
- R (webR) and the app's packages: download and start
- The app's page, served by R
- The first results, computed by R
Built with Shiny, Shinylive and webR. The app is the same R code that runs locally; this page reports each step of starting it, so a slow or failed start says what happened instead of staying blank. It follows the theme toggle in the top bar.
