High out-of-pocket share means households pay a large part of care directly at the point of use — a marker of catastrophic-cost risk for poorer families, not a quality measure. Worst (highest) burden is at the top. The year column is each country's latest reported value and can differ between rows. World Bank population-weighted aggregates are estimates, not simple country averages.

Health-workforce density is a coarse proxy for a system's capacity to deliver care. Lowest density is at the top — the thinnest systems, where each clinician or bed serves the most people. Densities reflect very different staffing models and counting rules across countries; physicians, nurses and beds are recorded in different years and updated infrequently, so the year shown can lag. Ranked across the ~55 most populous countries in this view.
