Trial biostatistics toolkit

In-browser R Shiny app

Methods workspace

Synthetic methods and fixed worked studyR runs in your browser: Shinylive and webR

Run the canonical R PK/BE sandbox, residual-carryover and C-QTc operating-characteristic simulations, or all six stages of the fixed worked bioequivalence study directly in this browser. No local R installation, account or toolkit download is needed.

Try this

  1. Choose the PK/BE sandbox, review the simulation settings, confirm and run. Inspect the data, results, figures and retained warnings.
  2. Choose carryover or C-QTc to select scenarios and simulation precision. The complete outputs retain Monte Carlo uncertainty and method diagnostics.
  3. Choose the worked bioequivalence study to run all six canonical R stages, including data/specification exports, same-author QC and number-checked CSR text.
  4. Download the review ZIP with source, inputs, results, actual versions and logs. Changing a setting clears previous results.

Before you start

  • Synthetic methods and fixed worked study. All data generated here are synthetic. The worked study deliberately reproduces its fixed educational assumptions; it is not an arbitrary client-study generator.
  • R runs in your browser. Shinylive and webR run the same R code as local R; nothing you enter leaves your computer.
  • First visit: about 220 MB of runtime files before host compression. Transfer size depends on compression and caching; startup usually takes 30 to 90 seconds on a fast connection and longer on a slow one. Later visits take 10 to 30 seconds, because R starts fresh each time.
  • Getting started: Select a module, review its assumptions and confirm before running. Save the complete review ZIP before reloading. The complete PK/BE sandbox includes an N=400 calibration diagnostic and may take several minutes depending on your device. Larger simulation grids take longer.
Starting The page is ready; the app starts here.

Starting the app

  1. This page and its instructions
  2. Service worker, which lets R serve the app inside this page
  3. R (webR) and the app's packages: download and start
  4. The app's page, served by R
  5. The first results, computed by R

Built with Shiny, Shinylive and webR. The app is the same R code that runs locally; this page reports each step of starting it, so a slow or failed start says what happened instead of staying blank. It follows the theme toggle in the top bar.
